This Privacy Policy covers the the website of the American Christian Academy (ACA), located at: https://americanchristian.academy/ (the “Site”), which is owned and operated by Good News Mission Society, a non-profit 501(c)3 charity (the “Company”). The Company is committed to protecting the privacy of (the “User”) of the Site. All user data will be maintained by the Company in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The privacy practices set forth herein have been established to provide the best possible services to the Users of the Site, and to keep all personally identifiable user information private. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy in whole, you must not use the Site.

1. INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THE SITE

The Site will not collect any personally identifiable information that is not voluntarily supplied by the User. Certain actions on the Site require the User to provide personal information such as name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card number, and any other information that is necessary to complete an action, but no personally identifiable information will be obtained other than the necessary information to complete an action. The actions that require personal information include, but are not limited to, on-line purchases, requests for literature, or a login user application for the Site. The Site reserves the right to store User information in a database under the control of the Company.

2. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

A. ON-LINE PURCHASES

The personally identifiable information that a User voluntarily provides when making an online purchase is necessary, and will be used to complete the transaction through the Site, and to provide the purchased service or product to the User. For additional User safety, the Site will not store credit card information for a transaction unless the User gives their consent to do so.

B. PROVIDING REQUESTED SERVICES

The Site uses personal information to provide the services requested by the User. For example, if a User requests literature, the Site will use the User’s physical address or email address to send the requested literature to the User.

C. AGGREGATE INFORMATION

The Site may collect the User’s personal information to compile aggregated demographic information for market studies, data trending, or similar uses that will make the services offered by the Site more effective and useful. Any aggregated information will be used solely by the Company. The aggregated information and studies will not be linked to any personally identifiable information and the Site will not sell or release any personally identifiable information to any third party without the User’s consent.

D. VERIFICATION/OFFERS

The Company may contact the User via their email address or telephone number provided to the Site to verify the User’s identity. The Company may also make use of the User’s email address to send special offers and/or updates solely relating to the Site. The Company will not use the User’s telephone number or email address for any third party advertisements or notices without the User’s consent. If the Company decides to provide email offers, the User will have the opportunity to opt-out of any emails by notifying the Company via the “unsubscribe” email address contained within the offers.

3. USER UPLOADED CONTENT

Certain features of this Site allow the User to upload or submit comments, or other digital materials to the Site for others to view or access (“User Content”). If the User uploads or submits User Content of any kind, the User warrants and represents: (i) the User owns or otherwise controls all of the rights to the User Content that the User posts; (ii) the User Content is accurate; (ii) the use of the User Content does not violate this Privacy Policy and/or the (“Terms of Use”) of the Site; and (iii) the User indemnifies the Company for all claims resulting from User supplied Content.

Additionally, the User grants the Company a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from User Content, and distribute and display any and all such User Content in all countries, and in any media and/or form. The User grants the Company the right to use the name that the User submits in connection with such User Content, if the Company chooses to do so.

4. COOKIES

“Cookies” are small pieces of information that are stored by a browser on the User’s computer when connected to the Site. Cookies are necessary for the Site’s functionality. Cookies allow the Site to take data entered on one page of the Site (ex: a desired order information) and return results of the request on a new page. Cookies also provide information to the Site when the User returns to the Site so the User’s visit to the Site is more enjoyable. The User can disable cookies, or set their browser to alert them when cookies are being sent to their computer. Disabling cookies may affect the User’s ability to perform certain actions on the Site.

The importance of security for all of a User’s personally identifiable information is of utmost concern to the Company. The Site exercises great care in providing secure transmission of personal information. Secure socket layer (SSL) encryption is used throughout the Site. In addition, firewalls and other security enhancements are utilized by the Site to help protect a User’s personal information. While the Company strives to protect all of the User’s personal information, the Site cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information the User transmits to the Site, and the User does so at their own risk.

6. LEGAL DISCLAIMER

Notwithstanding the Company’s policy against sharing any information the User has provided, the Company will do it’s best not to release any personal information, to any government entity without the User’s consent. If however the Company believes the disclosure of the User’s personal information is necessary to protect the Company’s rights and/or comply within a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on the Company or the Site, the Company will attempt to notify the User in advance of releasing any information, by whatever means available to the Company.

If the Company has reason to believe the User is involved in criminal activity involving a child based on the information received by the Site, the Company will provide such information to the appropriate law enforcement agency without notifying the User.

7. LINKS/AFFILIATED WEBSITES

The Site may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by the Company, including, but not limited to the Company’s partners, affiliates and advertisers. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. The Company is not responsible for the privacy practices of any website that the User may link to or from the Site. The Company encourages the User to review the Privacy Policy of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information.

8. MODIFICATION OF PRIVACY POLICY

The Company reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Any modifications made to the Privacy Policy will be posted on the Site. Please review the Privacy Policy frequently.
